ENDOCROWN

The restoration of teeth damaged due to caries or trauma pose a challenging situation in the clinic. In these teeth, after root canal treatment, a crown restoration that sits on the root of the tooth and bonding with strong adhesive materials is preferred. Endocrown restorations, which are an alternative method to veneers and fiber post systems, aim at both less loss of material from the tooth and mechanical retention by taking root support.

Endocrown restorations are produced with CAD / CAM systems after the preparation of the tooth and after being measured digitally. In this way, since the margin of error is minimized in the restorations prepared in the digital environment, a better adhesion and less micro leakage is ensured, ensuring that the tooth remains functional for a long time.

Nowadays, minimally invasive preparations, which we define as the concept of maximum protection of dental tissues by applying minimal procedures to the teeth, are preferred in dentistry applications. Endocrown restorations also have the advantages of minimally invasive preparation, ceramic material, digital impression, CAD / CAM and adhesive systems in this respect.

For endocrown restorations, a box is prepared at the base of the tooth root during the preparation of the tooth and micro-mechanical support is provided from the tooth root. With this design, it is aimed to distribute the stresses caused by masticatory forces to the root walls. The treatment applied with endocrown restorations produced with the CAD / CAM system can be completed in a much shorter time compared to traditional solutions.
